For those who don’t yet know, the departure forecourt at T2, Atlanta Ave will be closed to all traffic with effect from 00:01 on the 19th October 2017.
The arrivals forecourt, Hong Kong Ave will still be accessible to MAG vehicles, Hackney Carriages with airport passes and Arrow Cars based at MAN. For those dropping off in cars and taxis (of all kinds) there will be a limited number of drop off bays but drivers won’t be able to wait there to pick up. There will also be an 11 bay over-height vehicle park opening on the 17th October. It remains to be seen how many drivers of people carriers, saloons and hatchback think their vehicles are over-height. For the record, this is, currently, 2 metres or 6’6″. On a similar theme, drivers of van based passenger vehicles such as Renault Traffic/Vauxhall Vivaro and Ford Transit type vehicles need to be aware of their vehicle dimensions. Even the low roof Renault Master/Vauxhall Movano is too high to get in the car park
